Curly, welcome. Great to hear of your success in clearing psoriasis! I think other folks have also found benefit in eliminating yeast from their diet, which as you know is hard to do. I haven't eliminated all yeast but certainly most of it.
I agree with you: tremendous benefit would be gained if doctors (esp. dermatologists) would view diet as a potential means of controlling psoriasis. But few doctors do, and there are probably good and bad reasons for this. Regardless, most folks would struggle badly with a restrictive diet. It seems most would rather rely solely on conventional medicine than make serious dietary/lifestyle changes. So it makes sense for doctors to try their best based on what the patient wants. When I was first diagnosed with psoriasis I wanted my derm to give me a cream, pill or shot to make it go away. After realizing psoriasis is truly a serious condition I considered it to be an alarm telling me to get my act together. So like you I overhauled my diet and found great relief ... not to mention enjoying great side benefits (more energy, weight loss, body fat loss).
Thanks for your post. The more success stories provide more information for folks considering jumping on dietary bandwagon. It can only help in the decision making process.

PS - of course there are folks who have tried very hard to clear their psoriasis through diet and failed. It must be very disheartening to expend so much effort just to have one's hope dashed. The same is true for those who hopefully move to the latest and greatest psoriasis medications only to discover they are among the 25-30% who gain no benefit. Psoriasis is truly a horrible disease.
