Hi well I checked Pagano's book on substitutes for American saffron tea (I knew I had read somewhere that there were others you could take instead)
and they list 3 in the book.....
1. camomile..may be used as a substitute, (but saffron should be taken more frequently) Pagano said...
2. Mullein tea..is specifically suggested for P. but Mullein tea should be started after being on slippery elm for 10 days. allow to steep for 30 mins.
3. Watermelon tea..good as a diuretic and helps bladder infections. It also is used as a substitute for saffron. book says to boil 2 tablespoons of tea for 5 minutes in a pint of water, then cover and allow to sit until cold before drinking.
the book also says to keep all teas refridgerated....so they don't get buggy...yuk!

I would still try to get the saffron if you can...if not try one of these and let us know........good luck

That was very useful. I note from the latin name that the seed merchants Thompson & Morgan sell the seeds for it. It is classed as hardy annual, so should be easy, perhaps we could grow our own.

I bought my saffron from this place. Pagano refers to Edgar Cayce in his book - apparently it was his studies that inspired Pagano.

Hi Everyone...I was so happy to see that the places to buy slippery elm and A. safron tea were found.....hope many of you try it...we are getting good results on the NPF forum. It's great to have help and hope for this so-called incurable disease ;D....when I first came online looking for help I found it so discouraging everyone kept sayiong it can't be cured! We are proving them wrong.......I do follow a "my own style Pagano diet" due to a few food allergies. I believe diet has an important role in a healthy body.
It's also wonderful that this therapy hit your shores....now we need to see that other areas hear about it......
