Hello Igor

You need Emma, our resident Pagano 'expert'! Unfortunately she is relaxing in sunny Florida...but she'll be back soon.

If you have a look down the foum lists (or do a search), I am sure you'll find some info/advice/experiences written about the diet.

I have heard fantastic reports about following this method. I have bought the book myself, (from Amazon) but havn't started the diet yet. The only problem is, I think it must require a will of iron to stick to it.

I can't find the John Pagono cook book anywhere though.

I tried the pagano method for a few months, and although my p did not disappear, it def improved a lot.  I got my book from amazon, I will say it is a very hard diet to stick to, and I honestly found it so tough to stick to.  I could only manage it for  a few months, and I think you have to really commit to it for your skin to completely clear.  I think it is a lifestyle change not a short term cure.

Keep smiling :)

My husband's been on it for two and a half years now. We've noticed it's definitely stabalised things, but we haven't been able to clear it up totally.

The trouble is it does require huge determination and discipline which my husband can do for about three weeks and then he treats himself (to sweets/fizzy drink/take aways etc) and it always shows in his body.. i.e a worsening condition.

So, unfortunately for him, he will need to follow it religiously. We're hoping it's not for life, but it will be our lifestyle at least until we've found a way to clear it completely and then we can start adding things back in.

I did it really strictly for about 4 months.
I got to 99.9% clear in this time.

Since then I've had periods being on and off it.
My skin gets noticably worse when I'm eating what I want and improvements happen quickly when I get strict again.

It is hard and not always practical to fit in your life. When I lived alone it was a lot easier to stick to - noe I live with Rog it's a bit harder. I've reached a happy medium now though where I half do it most of the time and if my skin gets too bad I do it strictly for a while.

I was lucky that I was seeing improvements within weeks of starting, I know not everyone has had such good results.

Feel free to IM me.

Em.

Haven't visited the forum for a few weeks but am now three months into the diet.  I have really stuck to it up to now.  I sent to America for the cook book - I am not sure if you really need it as you can follow the principles of the diet from the book.  Hate the slippery elm power but still drinking it every other morning and got the yellow saffron from America, I have lots if anyone is desperate for it as it cost more in postage than the actual saffron.  It is extremely difficult to stick to especially when you eat out but so far I have managed except for two weeks holiday abroad and that was impossible.  I allow myself a glass or two of red wine (it does say occasionally).
My skin is definitely better.  The itching and soreness went within the first couple of weeks, no spots have disappeared yet but some have small patches of ordinary skin in them now so I am hopeful.  I have had psoriasis badly for 40 years so am going to give it the six months as I realise it will not clear overnight if at all.  I have also lost weight which is a real bonus.  I would just say you have to be really desperate and have tried everything else to stick to it but good luck to everyone who is on the diet.  Joy

Hi

I did a kind of vegetarian diet about 20 years ago but at the age of 12 it's not ideal.

Would anyone be kind enough to give me a rough idea what this Pagano "diet" involves?

Thanx in advance
