For ladies- menstrual cycle.
« on: January 23, 2011, 02:46:48 PM »
Hello ladies,
I was just wondering how many ladies on here have irregular menstrual cycles. I'm studying TCM and as a TCM practioner we look at the body as a whole. When your body is diseased it is usually linked to more then one problem. One of the diagnosis is called blood deficiency in which your skin will be very dry and the P will be more pale then red. Another is called blood heat in which your skin will be very red and inflammed. Both diagnosis usually lead to irregular menstrual cycle or late cycles.

As for myself my cylces are 40 days apart so I just wanted to see if it's a coincidence or if other P suffers  have the same problem. Thanks for the input.

 :) :)

If its any help, I have perfect skin and the most irregular cycle in the world.  Anything between 5 weeks and, well, several years.....

I had LOADS of tests and investigations done when I was younger, & they couldn't find any reason, so concluded I just didn't ovulate, which of course, ensured my infertitlity.  4 babies later they have decided - and this was an official diagnosis from a gynae consultant - that I am "just lucky" ;D ;D ;D ;D

I have bad PMT and terrible pregnancies mood-wise, but no skin issues at all.
Nothing is so simple it can not be misunderstood

It does help because you would fit into a different diagnosis in TCM terms that makes sense with your irregular periods. In TCM you don't have to necessarily have to have a skin condition to have an irregular cycle :)

I have always had irregular periods right from the start and have had p. since I was 6, apparently my body produces to much oestrogen as I also get acne and hormone headaches.
