I have palmar plantar pustulosis of  both feet.  Has anyone tried Garra Rufa fish?  It sounds like quite a good idea.

Hi,
I too have ppp and have thought about letting the little fish have a nibble. but I know you can't have it done if you have any cracks in the skin,

let me know if you take the plunge  ;D and have it done.

Quite a few on here have tried it, including me. Found it waste of money frankly. It has also been banned in some countries due to cross contamination issues.

Hi. I was diagnosed with guttate psoriasis 3 years ago. After many flare ups, my skin is now clear with no treatment other than moisturisers.(I suffered it as I reckoned if there was no cure why bother the doctor). Three months ago I developed palmar psoriasi just as My body had cleared. I went on the internet for information. I found palmo plantar psoriasis and realised this was what was causing the sore cracks on my feet. I thought it was just dry skin.  My GP gave me dovonex and then Dermovate. By this time I was having difficulty walking with the pain. Last  week I was so desperate I would have tried anything. I applied dermovate and wrapped my feet in clingfilm before going to bed. Then I tried the garra rufa fish treatment to no avail. I was looking for a quick fix then realised there was none. Over the past week I have been using Flexitol heel balm twice daily and found great benefit. The cracks have healed and I am now able to exfoliate and this has given me comfortable feet. I apply it all over the soles of my feet and my palms after soaking in sea salt and warm water. My hands have also healed. I realise this is not a cure and my hands and feet still get inflamed at times. During the day I use chickweed oimtment (non greasy) to soothe and as a last reort I take Ibuprofen or aspirin. Feel so much better.

Hi Cam.......

Just bought some heel balm today then read your post so its given me some hope, as i've tried alsorts but nothing seems to help or it just makes my ppp worse.

At the moment I'm just using Dermol and it seems to be ok, along with Fexofendrine to help with the itching.

apart from being so funny watching my 10 yr old daughter trying not to wet herself laughing as the fish were tickling her feet (very sensitive feet lol) the fish did nothing for me. Had no visible P on my feet at the time, just lots of dry skin, and it was still there afterwards :(
HELP...........................

Hi Maria2.

Hope the heel balm helps. my hands and feet are still dry and have some thick patches but nothing like last week. I paid
£4 odds for 56gms in the supermarket but have ordered 112gms for around £6.50 from amaxon free p+p. I think you can get it on prescription now. Keep positive.

I have tried the fish and even though its very relaxing after the first ticklish feeling it didnt do anything for me.  I think its something you are supposed to do several times a week to get any results though.

Hi Camidelcelio,

Been using balm for 2 days and noticed a difference already, only using it on my heels at the mo to see how it goes. I just bought boots own make as it was recommended to me. Still slapping the moisturiser on several times a day.

Don't think I lost as much hair today so fingers crossed, might not need those hats after all ;D
