Goats Milk products
« on: December 07, 2011, 02:52:39 PM »
I've been reading that goats milk products are helpful. I have found a supplier in Shropshire. Their products are natural. I wondered if anyone else had tried any goats milk product.

My daughter has to have goats milk as she cant have too much cow's, she produces too much mucus and it goes onto her chest, cows milk makes it worse. I get hers from Asda. She's been so much better since being on goats milk, i definately know when she's had too much cows milk, like if she's been somewhere and had a milkshake.

I also use goat milk products and make goat milk yoghurt. It doesn't affect my P but I love the taste and it's supposed to be more easily digested than cow milk.

oh, is her shop 'It's Baaathtime'? If so she's a friend from my smallholders' forum.

I use goat's milk. It's not enough by itself to rid me of P but I'm way worse on cows' milk.

I use it regularly as a break from cow's milk (I use soya milk as well). It's widely available, you can get goat products in any supermarket and goats cheese is lovely!

I used unscented plain Goats Milk Soap in the shower a number of years ago

At that time I still had psoriasis patches and the soap helped them enormously.

Most commercial soaps are chemical based and too harsh for my skin – they use to make my psoriasis worse.

But the goats milk soap was very gentle and soothing, and it actually helped to improve the appearance of my psoriasis.

These were the ingredients:

Fresh goats milk
Saponified olive oil
Saponified sweet almond oil
Saponified palm oil (orangutan friendly)
Saponified castor oil
Saponified grapeseed oil

So perhaps look for similar ingredients?

Apart from certified organic or biodynamic goats cheese, I dislike all other goats milk food products.

I can’t consume cows milk, so I stick with homemade almond and seed mylks – good plant source of calcium and they seem to be beneficial for the skin too.
I don't suffer from insanity....I enjoy every minute of it!

I just love the flavour of You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login with my muesli for breakfast. And you have to try organic goat cheese spread over the top of a nice tomato pasta, delish!

I love the taste of homemade goat milk yoghurt, I pour it over cut-up fruit for breakfast! it is more liquidy than cow milk yoghurt.
