Hello

I am making fantastic homemade raw almond milk to drink.

It is so easy to make, and one thousand times better tasting than that vile pasteurised almond milk that you buy in the supermarket.

You can make the most gorgeous dairy-free ice-cream using this raw almond milk too.

And also the most stunning orgasmic dairy-free cheesecake.......BETTER than the standard cheese version I reckon.

I make lots of raw vegan desserts, as they are naturally dairy-free, sugar-free, wheat-free and gluten-free.

All of them have tasted yummy so far.

Foods like dairy and wheat (along with a number of other things) cause my psoriasis to flare up.

Obviously that is a simplistic way of describing it; it is a bit more involved than that.

But it is not rocket science.

* If I eat these highly acidic inflammatory foods - psoriasis patches start to form
* I avoid these highly acidic inflammatory foods - my skin stays free from lesions

Simple

As well as avoiding certain trigger foods, I also consume a extremely high dense nutritionally-rich diet, including things like daily raw vegetable juices and green smoothies. I have just completed a ten day vegetable juice fast / detox to kick start the New Year. So a combination of things is helping me to keep clear. I cleared in May 2008, and have had the odd small flare-up here and there (from eating something detrimental) but they are hardly worth mentioning, as they are easy to bring under control just by re-focusing on the eating plan. 

If you are badly missing ice-cream, I suggest experimenting to make your own dairy-free version using various raw nut milks, seed milks, hemp milk or coconut milk.

By making these yummy alternatives, you are less likely to eat something you shouldn't - they will assist you to stay on your healing path.

I am planning on making chocolate tiramisu ice-cream using the almond milk this afternoon. I don't use commercial chocolate - I use raw organic cacao powder with a touch of organic dark agave nectar to sweeten and real vanilla beans, plus a few secret ingredients - not telling -  got to keep somethings to myself! Anyway it is STUNNING   :)     

Just make sure you have a decent blender (I use a Vitamix) to achieve perfect smoothness; you could also use an ice-cream making machine. 

So there is absolutely NO need to miss out on old favourites, you just need to adapt recipes.

What was the trigger for you're psoriasis originally? (if there was one)
