I give my nails a good soaking in it. It takes away the brittleness and makes the nails a bit more comfortable to live with.
Always look on the bright side

Tea Tree oil is very good - a fantastic antiseptic, anti bacterial, anti viral, anti fungal oil (to name but a few of its properites) it also has slight analgesic properties, which is why it helps stop the itching.  Lavender is more effective for p as it is also a better anti inflammatory (takes down the reddness) is more soothing and less harsh than tea tree.

Only use essential oils in small amounts - 6 - 8 drops in total in any one treatment.

I use Tea Tree oil to soak my nails...also use Trea Tree shampoo, it feels really nice on the scalp and its so refreshing too, it stops my scalp from itching for a while!

I met a girl who had P on her scalp, she used tea tree oil and she got very postive results from it.

I say give it go, what have you got to loss?  ;)
