Juice fasting for Psoriasis
« on: January 11, 2012, 02:26:44 PM »
Hi

I am fighting severe Psoriasis with a  juice fast - follow my story on You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I have been at it now for 14 days - Pagano in a blender basically....stopped for new years dinner - but no results yet to speak of.

Everyone has their own viewpoints on their own health, after all, we know our bodies the best. I drank and smoked too much for too long, dabbled in recreational drugs, worked 60hour weeks and never saw daylight. I know diet was the trigger for me, along with some stress.

I am enjoying the juicing, but support is always good as it gets lonely slurping away while my family feast on dinners that I have cooked!!

Thanks for listening.

I second that.  What you're doing can't be easy, but you're doing the right thing for yourself.  I hope you clear!

Hi there,

I got to reading some of your blog and you mentioned Karanja oil - the fact that there is a natural treatment with such a high success rate that will remain unobtainable to us truly infuriates me. Anyway, I did a lot of research and apparently, there is a vegan ear stretching salve that contains the oil, called "holey butt'r". I haven't purchased it yet, but I plan to and I thought you might be interested. The blog's lovely, btw!

Also, have you thought about using mostly veggies and less fruit? I haven't had the chance to read the entire blog, so please excuse me if you've addressed this. :) I saw the picture of your tongue and I'm wondering if you might be dealing with candida.... I myself am considering trying out a green smoothie detox in the near future and I think I may have a nasty case of candida (due to drinking in the past, addiction to sweets, etc).

Wow, respect to you! you are doing a brilliant job so far so keep going! I'd second the idea of adding more veggies and less fruit though, especially for the candida.
Also, I was reading your bit about washing and this might not be your cup of tea, but I've started washing with Rhassoul clay as it is the only thing that doesn't make my skin go itchy and feel awful after showering. Only prob is that it is a bit pricey but you can use as much or as little as you want.
Also, I'd say from your psoriasis pictures that I'd agree your skin is definitely reacting and hopefully the increased brightness and flattening is for the better (I generally think so).
Keep it up!
