My worry would be that krill are high in toxins as they are low in the food chain but there seems little evidence of this on the web. I wonder though if their oil could be high in things like mercury and PCBs, our oceans are quite polluted with very bad things....
All is well

I thought people with skin conditions should keep away from shellfish? Like the idea of 'marine lecithin' but am a bit tired of spending money on things that you have to use for at least a 3 months to really see.. Nothing has ever made the slightest difference except changing my diet and taking spirulina.. Will follow this Krill post with interest though, keep up the good work!

those that are allergic to shrimp may have a problem with krill. ....but the capsules contain a natural antioxidant and are supposed to be better absorbed due to the way the omega3 are chemically connected..the shelf life is longer, supposed to be no burp... Only one company in canada makes Krill oil...and distributes it to everyone else.

Actually foods lower on the food chainhave fewer natural toxins such as mercury and not more.....as the one goes up the food chain, the predatory fish and larger animals  etc  increase in toxins as they accumulate it in their flesh..

Both Krill and fish oil are carefully tested for mercury pcb's etc...none to speak of...

i still take the plain fish oil...keep it in the fridge..or freeze it...

a lot of fish oils have mercury in them, however many companies have products with the mercury sifted out.

Just wanted to bump this. The krill oil has only helped with my joint pain in my hands from nail P. Which is better than nothing.

According to study published in the American Journal of Nutrition highlighted, krill oil significantly inhibits inflammation and reduces arthritic symptoms within a short treatment period. Krill Doctor Professional is one of the best products as it contains 2x more Phospholipids & Omega-3 DHA and EPA, as compared to other Krill products available in market.

Krill oil is being studied as a natural remedy for high cholesterol. My parents used Krill oil and reduced LDL (commonly referred to as "bad") cholesterol by 34% and increased HDL ("good") cholesterol by 43.5%. Krill Doctor Professional has really great results.

I take krill oil every day as a superior form  of omega 3, it is expensive but you need less of it and it does not give you fishy
burps if that is a problem.
