Lyclear/Scabies medicine
« on: September 30, 2011, 10:01:04 PM »
Hey I am new to this forum, I have a work colleague who has many years experience as a nurse and also suffers from P she's told me that Ly-clear a scabies/crabs remedy clears up P and its cleared up hers. Which is true she has minimum P now, but sadly she also has Cancer and I was also told by another friend that in extreme cases and in older suffers of P there is a cancer drug that clears it up! But this is very rarely used as it obviously has other extreme side effects including infertility. And if the 2nd is true then I am wondering if it is possibly her Cancer drugs that have helped and not the Lycear. I have Googled the Lycear story and there is nothing. Does anyone have any experience of this?
Cheers Chrisse

I might add the reason I am asking I think using pesticides on broken skin is a bit extreme and I would NEVER do it but shes very insistant and I am sure there would be some news regarding this if it was the case

Although I don't have an answer to your question, it strikes me as strange for there to be an OTC scabies product.  I would think all advertised treatment for scabies would be prescription meds.  If true then I think it would be very unusual for a derm to prescribe a scabies med for psoriasis.  Of course if someone happens to have scabies as well and notices their psoriasis clears then this is a different story.

Apparently you can buy this medication OTC. I am sure I have seen it too. I cannot see a shred of evidence on this in fact quite the opposite! Like you say it could be a complete coincidence, but shes told me that she uses it every 3months(thats how long it stays away for) Not sold at all! Always thing if its too good to be true then it normally is. But she has no reason to lie!
