Another update - The diet is going really well and I seriously believe that cutting out red meats is the biggest help in cureing P, however I still have visable red patches.

Which is where I have a problem; a friend has asked if I would like to go swimming with her, she knows of my condition and that I really would love to go, swimming is what I miss the most and don't know if I should go or not? What is everyone else's thoughts?

paulmh, I think even after your plaques are gone you still see some residual discoloration of your skin for quite some time.  So I suggest you simply let go of your anxieties.  Besides, as the weather warms you might want to go outdoors to catch some rays (very helpful for your P) with or without a girlfriend (or prospective girlfriend).  Unless some jerk or bratty kids are around no one will pay much attention.

Hi Paul

I have been swimming about 2/3 times a week throughout the period I been on the Vit D no gluten regime in local pool, typically do about 20 30 mins non stop end to end stuff.  As you can see it hasnt set mine Ps back.

Actually I think there is a benefit of the soaking softens the plagues/dead skin so they tend to build up less.  Of course wash yourself afterwards with a good cleanser maybe sls free. The moisturise with your usual.  There is of course also the benefit of getting exercise which also has a beneficial effect also.

As to the emotional aspect thats another story.  I get the odd funny look not as many as I used to now I have such an improvement.  I dont worry about it but then Im a goat as opposed to a sheep, ie I dont feel the need to conform or fit in with the views of the less well educated or informed.  :-)

I take it your friend is not worried by your Ps and will if she is a friend will be very supportive of you.

Go for it.

I love it, appart from playing football its my favourite exersise, though I do it mainly for fun! The girl I'm going with is my ex so she has seen more than  some women. I think I will go for it, I'll know how people react and whether to do it again or not!

Thanks guys and gals.

Mariek, I believe I should be but last time I went to docs I (about a month ago) all he said was he would give me cream and that he would see me a few weeks later which I'm going to book an appointment for next week! personally I think he'll just say keep using the cream :(.
