Natural Remedy for Arthritis

Rosehip, the hottest new health booster has long been known for it's high levels of vitamin C., but research is highlighting an active compound called GOPO found in wild rosehips as a powerful alternative to painkillers for arthritis.  A rosehip supplement containing GPOP could be an effective alternative if you want a natural remedy for symptoms agrees Dr. Rod Hughes of the British Society for Rheumatology

Dr. Hughes also advises:

Exercise joints to keep them supple and the tendons & ligaments fit and healthy.
Build up your muscles protecting adjacent joints - strong thigh muscles protect knees.
Keep your weight at a healthy level - excessive weight can put a strain particularly on lower joints.
Get prompt treatment for damaged joints to prevent long term damage - see a physiotherapist early on.
Consider taking glucosamine sulphate as a supplement to protect healthy joints.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.  - Herm Albright
