« on: October 12, 2011, 10:07:38 AM »
hi guys,
so ive dealt with pustular psoriasis for 5 years now, ive tried every steroid cream and moisturizer on planet and ive done 2 12 week session of puva treatment.
the psoriasis is on the palms of my hands and under some nails, and the souls of my feet. I was wondering if anyone could recommend things i can try? I'm open to most things because i really need to get a handle on this its starting to effect my day to day life!
Thanks in advance
Jade

it sucks i know, but the trouble is theres nothing we can realy do to make it better,

all the tips that doctors will give you is to eat well, stay healthy exersise mosterise regulary and apply all the random creams they give you,

hopefuly it will get better for you soon, it takes a wile to find something that helps, but good luck though

Beg to differ here.

I was born with P and had it for nearly 40 years.

I cleared my P in 2008 with diet. I am maintaining clearance with diet. I am not the only one, as loads of people here and on the USA forum who have seen massive improvements through diet changes.

Whilst everyone is different, things like dairy, gluten, red meat, soy, alcohol and refined sugar, seem to be the main problems for a lot of people. Always seeing these foods mentioned on P forums across the internet.

My main issues seem to be: dairy, wheat, meat and refined sugar. Lots of cooked foods will also cause a flare. I no longer eat  processed foods. Processed foods are part of SAD (Standard American Diet) and will stop you from clearing.

I eat a lot of nutrient-rich raw foods, mainly vegan. But I am not a vegan, as sometimes I will still have things like eggs and fish.

Juicing and smoothies are nutrient-rich raw foods, and I believe they helped me clear and helping me to keep clear.

I have had a few P flares over the years - normally as a direct result from eating a food trigger.

Have a look on the website: diseaseproof.com

There is a lady interviewed on there who healed from P & PA by following Dr Joel Fuhrmans eating plan.

You could also take a look at The Hallelujah Diet - a lot of people on there have cleared P too.

Again, all very similar to how I cleared.

And prior to clearing with diet, I also had a lot of success with a hemp/shea body butter and salmon oil tablets.

So there is a lot out there we can do ourselves to make it better.

I don't suffer from insanity....I enjoy every minute of it!

Mush77, indeed there is plenty you can do to help clear psoriasis w/o taking prescription meds.  There are many posts on this forum which discuss various diets and supplements you can try.  My once severe psoriasis (on hands and feet) is now either nearly gone (hands) or very mild (feet).  Do you research, persevere and be patient!  :)

God Im so jeolous Little Pink Puss, I wish dieting alone would work for me. Ive been on a exclusion diet for about 2 months but not seen any changes yet. So demoralising.
