PA relief or so I was told
« on: July 05, 2010, 03:35:28 PM »
The following is an alleged relief to those sore PA joints. As its unverified I take no resposibility whatsoever for the use of this "remedy". You try it at your on peril and risk.

With your coffee, add one teaspoon of coca ( the raw bitter type ). Two cups a day over a couple of weeks should do the trick  :o
Let me know if it works for you.

I shouldn't be worried about the caffeine tjb as the coca contains far worse things eg cocaine (probably not by the time you get it !)
Wikipaedia says its good for arthritis too.

Sounds vile!

They say that coffee and cocoa are both acidic (more so if you add sugar and milk) and a high acidic diet certainly contributes to pain in the body.

So not sure about this one.

*****

Many people see vast improvements in PA when they switch to a high or 100% Raw Vegan Diet (i.e.) lots of nutritionally dense alkaline foods.

So rather you than me on the coffee / cocoa drink. ;D

Maybe best to avoid all together then - decaf is very bad for your health.

Chemical solvents are used in the removal of the caffeine – some of these solvents are known to cause cancer.

Some companies use a system that ‘naturally decaffeinates’ coffee. But not many companies use it because solvent decaffeination is much cheaper.

I am sure that decaf coffee is considered pretty bad for PA & RA.

Hi moanalot
Did you mean coca or cocoa ?
I assumed you meant coca which is the plant you get cocaine from, although I'm pretty sure you can't actually get hold of it.
MadCat read it as cocoa which comes from the cacao plant and is a different kettle of fish altogether so to speak.

Cocaine and coffee - now that I could handle - maybe even enjoy!!   :)

So do they sell coca at Waitrose?
