It's interesting to note that in all of this talk of'this special lecithin is the missing link' that there is no mention of a phosphorus supplement?

It would surely make sense that as the bodies own lecithin contains phosphorus in the form of a glycerophosphate radical that a phosphorus supplement in the form of glycerophosphates would support the underlying lecithin/cell system rather better than just taking extra lecithin?

I've been succesfully using a glycerophosphate supplement for years, and included it in my treatment program here 18 months ago...it's called Metatone tonic, it costs about £7 for a big bottle, and is available in almost every chemist in the UK.

I'm not saying this post is promoting 'snake oil' , but I do think it's important to have a balance of information, especially when the products are being sold for £75 a time.

all the best,
brian  :)

i think the arguement is that the psoriasis person does not have the ability to produce lecithin properly. that the enzymes are destroyed or dysfunational, just as others cannot produce enzymes to properly digest milk and become lactose intolerent etc. i agree it would make sense to help the body produce its own lecithin if possible, i suppose it depends to what extent the enzyme is deficient/struglglingor inactive.

as for costings the equivalent costing would be £7 a month vs £25. The difference bing clinical trials have been done on marine lecithin and more (including double blind we are told) are being conducted.

No one here is saying this is the definate answer, but its intersting enough to give it exposure.

im glad you dont feel it is snake oil brian.

The metatone would be to provide Phosphorus, it would no be to provide the missing lecithin.
The phosphorus might  support the system but it may not be enough for the body to produce its own lecithin and/or as efficient as taking the lecithin directly.

Also I would not suggest to take both, as this has not been studied and might impair the Fish lecithin working or being absorbed properly.

Brian, if the phosphorus had had the same effect as taking the Fish lecithin, and you have taken it for 18 month, you should* be clear by now. The psoriacalm studies have shown 90% patient improving an average of 78% PASI in 6 months. Most went on getting clear a bit later.

Marie
* should because there might be a wide range of reason for not clearing, P being affected by so many factors.

Do you know when they are doing the double blind tests? Or if they have done them yet? I hope they start using this on the nhs, if it really does work well ::)

Received my 6 month supply yesterday and started lastnight with 4 capsules to kick it off. Took 3 this morning and will take 3 again later.

I got 8 tubs with 180 capsules in each. I thought it would be 8 a day which would equal 22 and a bit days per tub but its 6 a day which is 30 days per tub. and then I realised I had 8 tubs not 6. ::)

I also got 2 x psoriacalm 100ml cream which I will only start to use about 1 to 1 and a half months into this treatment so that there is enough build up in my system for the two to "connect".

i wont be reporting back that often as this treatment is at least a 4 month waiting game.

Beacon,

The trial and treatment has been based on 4 caps morning 4 caps evening = 8 caps a day.

The label says 3 morning and 3 evening as I think it was done before the trials.

Stewart and I have had extensive conversation for the last 3 months with the Doctor himself and this was confirmed. Hopefully the English label will be changed to say 4 instead of 3.

Maybe it will work with 6 a day, maybe it won't work as well or as quickly.... your guess is as good as ours.  The traitment is to recharge our reserve of lecithin, while our body needs to use a fair amount daily.  It goes against the aim of the treatment to reduce the amount we take daily before we are almost cleared.

Personally I am on 8 a day and so is Stewart. I can see some changes in my plaques and there's been a definite change in my skin where the plaques are large.... I am trying to get a second set of picture so I can compare 'seriously'  ;)

I've just heard back from the Dr Dupond who's going to 'see' what's happening with the orders and emails.

Fingers cross you should all get email responses and order sent that little bit quicker now, just bear in mind they are still French though, and only working 35 hours a week and so on  ::) ;)
