Psoriasin Gel
« on: January 31, 2012, 05:18:51 PM »
Afternoon!

I put a post on a few months ago about Psoriasin Gel, but only got one reply.  I bought this by chance from a chemist in the States when I was on holiday there last September.  It is non-steroidal and the main ingredient is coal tar.  As I said on my first post about this, it's definitely not a miracle worker (if only!), but 5 months on, I am still using it (have since bought it from ebay) and I am really pleased with how it works.  I have suffered from guttate P since I was 11 (I'm now 48) and this product works a lot better than some of the prescription creams I have used (at least for me anyway).

It's not expensive (between £5-£10 for 21g (a little goes a long way though), depending on the seller).  I would definitely say to give it a go, although I can't say how well it would work for anybody else or for different types of P.  I also use it for the small areas I get on my face.  I really like the fact that I get good results from a non-prescription, non-steroidal ointment, so for me, that is a result! I'm really glad that I picked it up on my last day's holiday - I went into the chemist for painkillers and came out with a little beauty!

Interesting, but I can go through 500g of gel in a week. My Derm has always been adamant that I must moisturise the normal skin as well as the skin that has P. So that would cost me at least £120 a week, at the £5 a pot price. Great if it works for you but I don't think that I can afford it.
