Pure Potions - Skin salve experiment
« on: November 11, 2005, 08:49:10 PM »

I've run out of my own moisturiser and had look around for something natural that i could get my hands on quickly...

Found a stockist for Pure Potion: Skin salvation  in my area so started using it today. Not cheap at 16.65 for 120ml but no nasties either ;)

I dont know if it's because
- I had a more relaxed kinda day (i'm home studying instead of work/office/client)
- and/or i've been in natural fibre clothing
- and/or I've bee able to moisturise 3 times during the day

but my skin tonight feels like I dont have P....  :o

It's cool rather than hot , bothered irritated and itchy wich is how it's been every evening this week. It's still red though but not angry.

So gonna keep some update to see how this goes.

PS: Jade to be thanked for mentioning it earlier

Skin Salvation

Suggestions For Use
This salve is suitable for all types of eczema, psoriosis and sore skin conditions. It can be applied liberally to any part of the body as often as needed. Apply thickly before bed to reduce night time itching. It is best to wear old pyjamas after applying as the salve can stain when used over time. Take care not to spread the salve from one area of skin to another if the skin is infected.
Safe for use on babies and children and can also be used on the face.

Allergy Advice
We always recommend a patch test as some people may be allergic to herbs, oils or beeswax.

Ingredients
Nettle - traditionally used to reduce heat
Calendula - from marigold, for tissue regeneration
Chickweed - traditionally used for itching
Camomile - traditionally used to soothe
Olive oil - anti-bacterial, calming, nourishing
Safflower oil - excellent for sensitive skin, very smooth
Hemp oil - an extemely nourishing, complete oil, rich in essentialfatty acids, EFAs and gamma linolenic acids, which eczema sufferers often lack.
Beeswax - a natural emulsifier

Two sizes are available: 60ml & 120ml. A child or adult with widespread eczema will need 120ml. Smaller patches of eczema will need 60ml.

Day 4 on moisturising with Pure Potions.

It has calmed right down all the "anger' that the P was showing last week. As soon as I moisturise the skin cools down.

However it had not done anything so far to reduce the patches or the scales...

Goldie,

I am extremely lucky and gratefull not to have P on my face, only tiny dots at the worst. I feel for you :-*

Pure Potions is safe to use on the face as there is no nasties :) I would definetely give it a go. I'd give them a call to get a fast delivery if you're in a hurry ;)

As a rule, loads of moiturising helps. Some members have had success with just upping the time they moisturise their face. even with just simple vaseline...

If you & Mary get it , please post as it would be interesting to know how it works for anyone else tryin it.

There is nothing extraordinary about the ingredients used that justify such a high price.  All ingredients are easily available too.

The only reason that I can think of is that it is made in small quantity hence the high cost.

It's great in reducing the heat, itch and feeling like your skin is "normal'... BUT it has not touched the redness or the scales yet. I have to be fair : i've jut had an exam this morning so it might be that my stress is still fighting ::)

So far buying it on the website is the cheapest way... i saw it today in Fresh & Wild at almost 20 quids :o :o :o
