Are you talking about this:

Green foods (spirulina, wheatgrass, chlorella, kelp, kale, algae, broccoli, etc...) are renowned for helping with psoriasis.

I have not tried this brand, but I have used similar powder supplements in the past.

And I do juice (and blend) a lot of different greens.

Bit too expensive for me....but ingrediants look good and makes sense.

I would just change your diet to more RAW fresh veg and fruit, juice or
blend shakes, do your own crops of sprouted seeds....easy and cheap.
( I do them on window sill)

Many of the other ingrediants are available as suppliments, and
not so expensive.

Still if you have the money and the ingrediants are all they state then its
not gonna do you any harm to take and may well help the P.

But there are cheaper alternatives - which involve more work and life changes...
but work very well.

LOL .. bjm you don't believe in fresh juicing then?  I'm addicted (altho it is early days) and others here have had tremendous success.  Have you read either of those threads:-
Madcat's Fresh Raw Living Juice & Psoriasis

or Totoro's 'Anyone else trying this?' ...

from my perspective both are inspiring and I'm on the bandwagon.  It can only help .. and I'm not holding out for a cure, but would love a quality of life that allows me to do what I would like to do.

Perhaps when you've read thru' a little of the above and looked more particularly at Totoro's photographs in his gallery, you'll be equally impressed.

Wishing you well

I'm all for juicing, as long as its not fruit juice and includes the fiber...i'm a juicing thread voyeur! and enjoy the thread

..i just don't see throwing money away on what i consider a scam ...give it to someone who needs it ......there is more then sufficient nutrition in the foods we have available..other then D, and perhaps b12

i'm all for juiciing, although i do it the slow old fashioned tedious way..with my teeth  :D

BB and Totoro, could it be like BJ said elsewhere that maybe you're improving more because of what foods you're avoiding (like wheat, dairy) than from the juicing itself?

Hi Eve, yep anything's possible  :-\ ... juicing fresh vegs/fruit combined with vitamins and cutting out dairy, wheat and alcohol, are each contributing I'm sure.  I have read some publications by people who have suffered for years from cancer, P.,  and have found that juicing fresh produce has made the real difference for them.  Its certainly worth a go ... I want to explore every option to find an alternative solution if possible, footage by both Totoro and Nick here show that by increasing doses of VitD3, skin and overall wellbeing improves significantly.  As with every treatment, I don't expect everyone to agree ... being given the information provides us with choices ... and this is one choice I've made of late for the better.   :)  Wish me luck !  :)

Eve, I called to my pharmacy to pick up Vitamin D to be informed that I was already on it; as I've been prescribed Calcium supplements together with VitD.  When I investigated further (online, the net is an incredible resource !)  I found that having had my thyroid removed, I cannot have the large doses of VitD3. While I'm on thyroid replacement drugs, those are never quite as effective and for me haven't worked as should, so I'm too scared to take them before speaking to my endocronologist.  :( With regular blood tests the level of eltroxin replacement drug is altered each time, its a nightmare to be honest.  Worse than living with P !   :'(

However, I'm convinced the fresh juicing, combined with supplements, and no dairy/wheat or alcohol or caffine, should help considerably.  Others have reflected that it may be too much of a 'shock' to my body but I'm convinced for the first few days those withdrawals one gets when de-toxing, now certainly life is easier and the pains / aches in joints have lessened, so much so that I walked the beach (briskly) with my niece on Saturday morning. (It was  a short walk  - 4 minutes!!).   Roll on Summer !   ;D.

Thanks for wishin me luck !  Will keep posting updates on Madcat's thread.

Hugs

From my own personal point of view:

I gave up things like wheat, dairy, meat and refined sugar for six months and my P certainly improved, but it did not totally clear.

I introduced the juicing in February and was 100% clear by the May.

So although the combination of a good diet and avoiding certain inflammatory foods helped, it was the juice factor that tipped me over the edge to clear.

And have remained clear ever since by juicing every day (even though I am now sometimes eat things like wheat, dairy, meat and refined sugar) - and again, Jason Vale contributes juicing to clearing his psoriasis too.

While I'm on thyroid replacement drugs

Please make sure you are careful with what juices you use.

As I have mentioned before, some juices react with medications / supplements.

(i.e.)

The juice from grapes should not be taken with iron supplements

Any juice that contains Vitamin K should not be used with blood thinning medication.

I am not 100% sure what juice you should avoid (if anything) with thyroid replacement drugs - I am guessing that you may need to avoid things like kale and such like?

Anyway, please double check, if not already done so.

Yes, rapid detox can be a shock to your body.

Always best to wean yourself off things slowly and give your body time to adjust, rather than giving up everything overnight.

Well, some people can go cold turkey overnight, but my body was too toxic to do that  :)

When detoxing it is very important to keep up with fluids – raw vegetable juice, filtered room temp water and plain herbal teas – and conserve your energy by resting, sleeping, relaxing – as you will feel drained during this period.

But, once your body has adjusted to the change, you will (should) have amazing energy & vitality.

As long as you have researched, planned and taken professional advice, you will be fine.

Problems only arise when people go gung-ho into things without the proper knowledge or preparation. It took me months of reading / research before I felt confident enough to try my hand at a weekend juice fast.

Oh yes, and, sometimes the body can go into a healing crisis (you get worse before you get better) – have a read about it, it is very interesting – although a bit of a shock when it happens to you.

Getting back to the subject in hand (Synergy powder) these sorts of supplements are often very good quality and work well. Maybe some are scams (?) but not all.

Alternatively, you can juice wheatgrass.

Even people with a good diet often need additional supplements because of sprayed foods and poor soil quality.

I have two similar products at home but I have not used either of them for ages.

Organic Broccoli Sprout Powder
Blue Manana + Powder

I liked both of them.

However, the best green “supplement” you can take is green juice and green smoothies.
