Snake oil bar
« on: October 14, 2003, 01:18:29 PM »
I bought one of these from lush a few days ago - it's a massage bar for the scalp which claims to get rid of the flakes and scales (hence the name) - according to the woman in the shop it contains something similar to coal tar - plus peppermint and tea tree oil and cocoa and shea butter - have been using it around the hairline and it is fairly pleasant to use although leaves your hair greasy - smells better than cocois though.  The woman in the shop also claimed that a number of P people really like the dream cream which is full of essential oils such as lavender, olive oil, tea tree oil and oat milk - and it smells so so so fine - i normally tend to stay away from anything fragranced - but this seems to be very nice for the skin too - so could be a good saturday night cream when you just want to smell yummier than double base

Ooops - sorry if this sounds like a bit of an advertisement - think I went a little mad at lush and am now wallowing in toiletries - my scalp really does feel quite soothed today though

Glad to hear it is helping.  Where would I get lush products from?
Every day my children do something to make me proud.

I bought a Lush 'shower smoothie' the other day. I think it has coconut and vanilla in it. It actually looks like a 'smoothie' or a thick pink 'milkshake'!

You use it like a shower gel and it smells good.

I didn't really buy it for the P, just thought it would be 'fun'.

Weird thing is, I seem to be flaking less!

???

And you know if there is a Lush in your town, because you can smell it a mile away!

;)

I'm really liking this snake oil bar on my scalp - it is really cooling and soothing - think it's the mixture of tea tree and lavender oil - have been carrying it around to rub into the back of my scalp if it gets a bit dry

I definitly am addicted - it's a bit tricky to use at first but does seem to stop my head getting too dry - the best is if you can get someone to give you a full scalp massage with the bar - just heavenly!
