Dear all,

I thought I should update the thread for the self-help study posted two months back, the study is still open and recruiting. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank members that have participated with the study.

The University of Sheffield and Compassionate Mind Foundation in collaboration with the Psoriasis Association and Psoriasis Help Organisation is recruiting for a study exploring the effectiveness of web-based, self-help approaches.

This is open to anybody who is over 16 years, has Psoriasis, is fluent in English and experiences emotional difficulties (e.g. stress, low mood, anxiety) through managing Psoriasis.

The study runs for 4 weeks and requires you to practice a guided audio technique at home. You will first be asked to complete some questionnaires on line (approx. 10-15mins) and if eligible you will be emailed the self-help materials to use at your convenience.

We are very excited about the project, while there is good evidence for the effectiveness of psychological approaches in many areas of health, there is still much that we can learn about approaches that can be helpful within dermatology. This study aims to address this gap.
