Hi Lauren,
Sorry but I may have mis-read your original post. If you are asking about post treatment skin colour then I can advise that I have suffered from both "hyper-pigmentation" and "hypo-pigmentation". One is where the skin colour goes much darker that it was, and the other is where it stays lighter.
In my experience (and I can really only talk about what has happened to me), the darker skin tends to stay that way but the lighter skin goes back to sort of normal. That is if anything associated with P can be described as "normal".
Does that help at all?
Regards,
Daryl
that seems to be a common reaction ie hyper pigmentation (esp asian, indian, maori etc skin ) or hypo pigmentation and yes hypo pigmentaion does seem to 'recolour' easier than hyperpigmentaion
What the OP has ,I fear, is neither and hence can 'fire up' anytime
If the patches are still red and esp if sensitive I would then speculate that whilst an improvement has been made and there may no longer be any scale and indeed the lesions are flatter and ligher in colour...
..they are still there !..at say a 2 out of 10 level and remission has not been achieved yet
again without wanting to down play the significant improvement ..if you chop the top of grass it just grows again...it must be totally cleared to stay clear
Hyper and hypo pigmented skin after Psoriasis is in remission is still a lesion in remission and may never have Psoriasis lesions there again ever ..regardless of the pigmentation
'scar'..
