Oh that sucks, Im sorry to hear
I cant have any medications as Im contraindicated for all, mainly due to having a skin cancer a few years ago, so natural approach only for me. Im from NZ originally, and loads of us get skin cancer.
When I go to my dermatologist (6 monthly) he has to check the psoriasis and all the moles, so double whammy.

hi I work for a tv company and am conducting some research into P. I was just wondering if any of you ever attend support groups or are there are other avenues such as this forum which are better in terms of providing a common ground for everyone?
Many thanks
jo

This is the only support group I have and myself and others on this forum arrange meet ups across the country where we get together and share things about our condition be it p pa or both which really helps because when you have friends that know what you go through and have tried things and can help in some way it makes all the difference we also use these times together as a bit of a break from being sElf conscious ov it as we are all together the same and to help us feel better by sharing some fun together despite everything .

Wow thats intense bedime reading ;)
Its a good point about the cholesterol, as I did have it tested aobut a year ago and it was a bit high. The doctors sent me out a follow up piece of paperwork to have it rechecked and I havent yet, but maybe I'll do this tomorrow.
It takes forever to get the results so maybe I should do this right away
So did getting your cholesterol down improve 'your' psoriasis igH?

best of luck with it then... whether it independently contributed to my own p, i can't be sure about that as there are so many intertwined factors at play here... but i guess it did play a role... i will have to get rechecked tho, since the ones which still showed elevations are about four months old & it will be interesting... since i started strict dieting about 10 month ago, have managed loosing 16kgs / reducing my bmi from 30.8 to 25.2, so i guess i should expect better results this time around, on the other hand, i didn't use anything specific; but my uncle has had fantastic results using ginger to lower his cholesterol levels... :)
