LoginOne aspect of 'treatment' which is mentioned here is the importance of correct breathing (deep as opposed to shallow or superficial breathing)........when I highlighted this on the pa board, a couple of people reinforced my feeling/understanding that proper breathing can be a vital factor in the overalll healing process, and one that doesn't seem to get much attention on this forum (as far as have seen anyway).
As I understand it, shallow breathing is an automatic response to stress, but which leads to a build-up of CO2 in the blood and therefore to a general acidification of the body..........it seems to me that any attempt to alkalise the body using only dietary means, without paying attention to means of stress-reduction in general and improvements in breathing function in particular, are only half the story. Many stress reduction techniques can also be seen as a more or less indirect means of improving the breathing eg yoga, tai chi, bio-feedback etc.
