The Subconscious mind
« on: December 15, 2010, 04:39:59 PM »
Their is a link between the subconscious mind and physical appearance.

so if we could get affirmations to the subconscious mind about psoriasis could this potentially help a lot of people.

affirmations like:

"i am psoriasis free"
"my psoriasis gets better daily"

the subconscious accepts anything you feed it without question unlike the conscious mind, so if we got these affirminations to the subconscious it really could help a lot of people.

just a thought

i have found this software called brain bullet, it sits on your desktop and flashes subliminal messages so that the subconscious can pick them up.

it allows you to put in your own affirmations so if you put the affirmations i posted above it might actually work for people.

here is the download You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

i ran a virus check and came back clean on nod32

I believe this would be a good thing to take on if you are looking for ways to cope with P.
Doubt it would cure you but see how it could give you a helping hand.
It would help with the negative feelings and stress and combat depression linked with P.
Those things have an impact on P thus adopting this plan will assist combating P in the long-term.
Thank you for shareing this information and I will give it a good go.
I believe that your mental health is very much as important as the P itself.

Good luck!

I've wondered the same and have sat at home, or led in bed before sleep many times telling my brain to stop reproducing skin so fast..etc.

I think you'd be better off telling yourself. "Its not that bad, things could be worse, There is improvement"
Telling your brain to stop produceing skin so fast is not going to get you anywhere!
Just maybe a tad stressed, which is what this is meant to avoid.

I'm sure positive thought helps, especially where stress is present. I was thinking more mind over matter and trying to switch it off. Wishful thinking I guess !  :)

I would think that whichever positive thoughts you give yourself, you will subjectively see some improvement if it works - either because it may improve, or because you consider the same level of coverage to be not as bad ;)

Has anyone tried hypnosis/NLT etc to improve their opinion of having P?
Nothing is so simple it can not be misunderstood

Well you could switch it off, try and forget about it. Depends on how severe it is. Mines not that severe although I look like a leopard it dosent effect my health at this time so I can just get on with it so to speak. If its severe P its not as easy....
If you have severe P, maybe you could use affirmations like "I have P but I am still lucky, I could've had something worse" Even though you don't think like that, you train your mind to think like that if you always have negative feelings you could land up with even more problems.  :)

I'm all for this, I think it makes a big difference to have the right mental attitude.
I did self-hypnosis for the birth of my second child, and I took no pain relief.

Focus on the desired result: they say to get slim, think like a slim person, and you will eventually/naturally choose the food that will make you lose weight.

For P good thing to say would be: "my skin is soft and smooth"
ah....bliss!!
