hi,

im newly registred to this forum but have been browsing for many years, and thought it would be a good thing to put my two pennies worth in as i recently found something that may be of help to others

basically over the years my facial p has gotten worse and more acute. ive been proscribed everything going from topical steroid creams to vitamin d derivatives. two months back i was proscribed silkis gel, which caused a negative reaction where my p spread over 3 days to cover all my forhead, cheeks and chin. in short i was a mess.

so i decided to just lay off all medication until it calmed down. After two weeks it did indeed reduce, but became very dry. so i decided to try a none medicated cream that a friend who is a nurse recommended.

its called oilatum. its the gentlest cream ive ever come across. its got no perfume and no unnecessary additives. the one that i found worked best is called oilatum facial repair cream. and within a few days my p has completely cleared and has stayed away for over 3 weeks which is the best result i have had with any cream

anyhow, whether it stays good is another story. but for now my face feels fresh and without any soreness or blotches.

in the uk its sold by boots among others :

id recommend the face repair cream and their soap bar (soap normally dries me out but not this one for some reason, it just seems to clean without drying)

it's ok, no offence taken at all. I didn't know this product had been out so long sorry, and as it has had the best results for me i thought the info might benefit others who were finding their skin very sensitive to all the harsh chemicals in moisturisers and in proscription meds

I've seen this but not tried it as I have tried so many other creams to no avail and slightly fed up at wasting money on them.  Will give this a go though as I have a real problem clearing the P from my face.  Steroid creams just seem to mask it and I know I use them too much.  Any other suggestions would be welcomed!

I have had p for 20 years. I have used everything under the sun.  My wife biught me some 'patches' and it is the best thing that has helped me. there is nothing chemical or prescribed. There are different kind of patches and we tried y-age glutathione. Link removed by moderator.   It is the best thing for me and is almost clearing up my skin. I was using dovanex creams and even bought a ultr light machine but works nothing like the patches.  I hope if you suffer from p you will try the patch. I want people to know how it has helped me and can help you as well. regards.
