Trying creams: a plea to everyoone

Trying creams: Message to Waz and a plea to everyone

1 week is not enough to tell if a product will work. The creams that truely work on psoriasis do so by repairing the skin's integrity so that T cells go into remission. Ig you have noticed a thinning of patches by week1 this is a good sign. But for someone with longer term psoriasis a true healing cream can take 3 weeks - 4 monthsto redress the balance. It took a long time for your skin to get the way it did, it takes time to heal it.

Please rememebr that zozo rob has only has Psoriasis for 5 weeks and it took three weeks. If youve had it longer it may take longer. The chinese often say that for every year you have a condition expect a month to heal it, now things MAY not be that bad but it's a good guideline.

In short a plea to all people on here dont try something for a few days and then claim it doesnt work. The ONLY THING that will work well in a few days it steroids and we all know they thin the skin and worsen things longer term.

Shocked to see my name on the board but reading through your comments, I agree.

I have come to a point where when I see something that has worked for someone, I get very excited and then when it doesnt work for me, get wound up because I've probably just spent a fortune on it.

I am still using the cream as I said and will continue to do so. Unfortunately, its not very cheap but, if it removes my P, then I'm happy to spend a lot more but I dont want to keep throwing good money after bad.

But I suppose we have to keep trying something new/different to remove the P...as I always say to myself...
If you always do. what you have always done...You will get, what you have always got !

So, thanks for your comments..well noted. I will keep trying

Waz I refer to you only in terms on encourgaement I think it would be mad to give up if you have seen that the cream has done soemthing. I wouldnt expect any longterm sufferer to see results from a milder healing cream for really around four weeks. Now i got your attetion i have removed your name :)

The dermal layers that psoriasis occupies are quite thick and it goes quite far down it takes a long time to heal and reconnect that tissue.

Keep trying, good luck

One tip people can try if they are worried about the expense of a cream is to just use the cream on ONE large patch. That way the cream lasts longer and they get to know if it helps.

I agree Stuart it's not just the ointment or cream that does the work.  We also have to get through to everyone that basic daily skin care has a large part to play in helping P to clear.

It would be a good post to lock at the top of the page as a reminder.

Hi Stewart.

Although I am taking herbs as well as applying the ointment(based on the herbs Im taking internally) I noticed a difference in 2 days( no steroids are involved)but subsequently my forearms are completely clear after 8 weeks and all the other areas Thighs Stomach lower back buttocks are 85% clear replaced with clear healthy skin.I would say the stomach area has been the most stubborn   but all that is left at the moment are the outside areas of the patches and they are gradually disappearing. This is plaque P which I have had for 30 years.I must add that even Manzin is suprised how fast the skin is healing and puts me in the category of the 10% fast healers, never the less nothing else I tried worked for me despite spending a fortune on all the different remedies. Manzin makes his own ointments from the herbs in his practice.

HAVE YOU READ THIS THREAD BILLY!

IT IS IMPORTANT FOR EVERYONE TO REALISE THAT EVEN CHANGING A CREAM OR OINTMENT YOUR SKIN HAS TO ADJUST TO EVERY INGREDIENT IN IT EVEN THE MOISTURISER CONTENT!  WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT!

Billy I think that dippitmaggie is angry because you kind of missed the whole underlying point of the thread. This post does not refer to "quick healers" there will always be those who can find a product that will suddenly clear them up. Furthermore there may be some people who are suffering from medical conditions which worsen psoriasis (leaky gut, allergies, intolerances, stomach acidity, fungal infection, candida of the gut to name a few). However none of these are the actual cause of psoriasis.

Psoriasis is the result of a skin infection which has weakened the dermal layers of the skin which means when the T cells attack we get the raised red patches because there is no integrity in the connective layers of the skin anymore. Imagine it like this T cells patrol the body notice weakend skin and misinterpret it as an infection so they go into to attack. If the skin was strong the T cell a) wouldnt be able to break through b) wouldnt misread the signs.

To truely be rid of psoriasis you have to strengthen the skin again. There ARE natural creams that do this but for anyone who has moderate longstanding psoriais they are not goig to work overnight. If your skin has been weakened for more than 5 years expect it to take 3 months to truely improve. And the point of this thread was to say that most people buy one tube try for one week and say it doesnt work.

And in fairness you have also been doing your chinese medicine thing for several months if i remember correctly which actually kind of agrees with what is being said. You may have noticed a change in 2 days but it has taken you 2 months to get clear which is exactly what i said in the original post. Healing for long term sufferers can take 3 weeks to months and months. Waz had seen some improvement in the raisedness of his skin but seemed a little unsure whether to carry on IW as encuraging him and reminding him to not expect truelt great results for a few months.

I like you a lot billy so please dont get too disheartened. If my current treatment doesnt work I am going down to see your therapist !

peace

All  esp Stewart

Thanks for the advice and encouragement.

Anyway, have just ordered another 2 bottles of the cream to see how I get on. This should last me about 2 months and I have done what you said....I am only using it on my hands and elbows. I have left the knees to see the difference.

Cheers
Waz
