Hi Hamri, welcome to the site

There are a few folks here who have tried dairy free, or cutting out tomatoes from their diet, and some otherthings too - so I'm sure someone will be along soon with some useful info for you.

read my post about celiacs and ask your doc for the test. i have seen some intriguing evidence that psoriasis is inked to gut disorders.

the two main thought groups are
a) avoid nightshades - tomatoes, peppers, poatoes, tobacco, etc
b) avoid wheat and gluten

i would say there is more evidence for the 2nd. Here is the important thing many people to claim to have tried a gluten free diet but infact they havent even come close. Gluten isnt just in pastry, wheat and bread u can find it in tomatoe sauce, baked benass, curry powder, any sauces and gravies, batter, breaded foods like KFC, some chips (mcdonalds etc). So iwould say the jury is still out on it. if u did turnout to be celiac there are hundreds on new gluten free products available at tesco and sainsburys.

Hi, Stewart. I just can`t help myself anymore and I must bother you with some silly questions - don`t know exactly what it means in english. :-[
What is celiac ?
What is gut ?
Try to explain me in few simple words, please !
Thanx a lot. ;)

Hi Adrian - Coeliac disease is in two words a gluten allergy (as opposed to an intolerance to gluten) - sorry, thats the best I can describe it as Im not all that clued up on it,  and the gut is a word we use to describe our digestive system!  Stewart will be along later to tell you if Im right or wrong.

glutenintolerance = very common, means someone may get a little tried, a little bloated in the stomach by eating gluten.

gluten allergy = can cause serious problems from constipation, weight loss to weight gain, fatigue, skin rashes, joint problems, anxiety attacks, depression and yes even scizofrenia and misscarriages !

It takes place in the digestive tract not the stomach and occurs because the body has identified gluten as an enemy and created an antibody to atack it. There have been more and more reports linking crohns disease, celiac disease (Also spelt coeliac), IBS andpsoriasis.

The only cure is to come off ALL gluten and wheat products.

WHeat - bread,pastry, batter, flour
gluten - is in loads of stuff from flour to cakes, pastries, sauces, burgers, cheap chips, pizza..

Try cutting out wheat, sugar, yeast, dairy, sugar and alcohol for a month or two and see how it goes  :) :)  You should eat refined carbs, proteins and water, tea or coffee without milk (try soya milk).  Eggs (not dairy).  After that try introducing each food group and see if you have any flare ups.

I did go totally gluten for a while thats why it was so difficult to maintain, and my P did improve, but like i said i made other additional changes like taking fish oils
