3rd Rheumy visit in 3 weeks!

I have just had my 3rd visit to my Rheumy in the last 3 weeks and it all seems to be agreed that I am going to have surgery

Rheumy has referred me to one of his colleagues , an orthopod who specialises in artificial joints.
So watch this space.

The orthopod can't see me until April 17th , rheumy doesn't think my hip will last that long!

I feel for you.  This is the obvious cut-backs that are currently happening across the board.

Can the roomy not use his weight, under the circumstances,  with the orthopod ?

I would have thought the rheumy could have sped things up too - also they have to be careful because you are supposed to recieve treatment within 18 weeks of referral

So if they don't see you till the april they won't have much of the 18 weeks left! The worry is that because of this they may try to use a delaying tactic like steriod injection which is obviously not right. Could you ask for a cancellation if one comes up.

well they ain't leaving themselves much time to carry out the op because by the time you see them it will already have been about 12 weeks!
