No, nothing like that with me, I don't think it's necessarily unusual in pa, it is common in ra though.

Have a soft little swelling on one small finger, no pain though. Last christmas one finger swelled up for a week and painfull, rheumy said it was dactylitis, common in PA but never bothered me since. Did you have xrays of your hands done? they could reveal a lot.

also have weird bends where my fingers kind of change direction, eg its starting to veer right instead of straight...and my toes are following suit :-\

I have dactylitis in the middle finger of my right hand (for over 18 months) and second toe of my left foot (for about 4 months now).  The swelling is obvious and extends into my hand and foot.  The finger and toe don't bend properly (sometimes won't bend at all) due to the swelling, and the swelling in my foot feels like walking on a hot pebble!  I don't know if there's any bone damage yet - had x-rays done at my last hospital visit and am seeing the rheumy nurse at the end of this month - hopefully they'll be able to tell me then if there's any damage.

hi, Mrs T

mine are not that bad, think the mtx stress factures/then having  splints helped staighten them out ,  have  a lot of trouble with severe pain & bird clawing
i think my back/neck /feet are more noticeable,

! so   you have the psoriatic mutilians   like old  dennis potter had

my last rheumy said  mines is def not the  mutlians type
my cardiac consultant as refered me to yet another new 1 and a derm
will be interesting to see what diagnoses get this time
