After 5 yrs of pain in knees ankles elbows and wrists i finally saw a doc who listened, been told b4 that i needed to lose wieght, its old age(46),wear n tear etc,2yrs ago i lost skin off hands and a few nails, this was misdiagnosed too(dermatitas),my local docs had a locum in and luckily i saw him,he referred me to dermatology and rheumatology within 3 mins of seeing me,ive had xrays mri's and bloods taken now, even went back to docs after xray and doc told me i couldnt have PA as xray was fine,he did ring me 2hrs later and apologised after talking to a colleague, waiting to go on mtx,on co-codamol and naproxen at the mo,whats most annoying is these doctors dont listen to you, they just make presumptions, sure they think i was after a sick note, hopefully there long delay in diagnosing pa hasnt caused to much damage to my joints although i guess it must have as pain and mobility is a lot worse than it was 5,4,3,2,1 yr ago
