self loathing & remorse
« on: March 18, 2010, 10:53:22 PM »
Hi Everyone,

Just feeling like s*** right now so this wont take long......have been so well behaved for well over 12 mths now & would probably average 2-3 glasses of wine a week (& sometimes not a single drop for weeks!!)for sanity sake thanks to good ol' PA/MTX...and then last saturday got invited to Scotland England rugby with some mates I havent seen for yonks & ended up getting leathered, really quite p*****d by the end of the day & while I told myself it would do no harm & a blowout now & then is a "reward" for having to put up with pa & mtx I feel I really let myself down & now my good buddies the "sausage toe brothers" have returned....hmmmmm.  what a twit me thinks....Normally I would take my mtx on a saturday but left it till monday so I could flush my system out with gallons of water....rugby was dire by the way...

Feel free to offer consolation or derision,I'm not sure which one I deserve most,I just needed to tell someone/everyone else who can relate to this s*** of a condition!!

I don't drink at all (the migraines do it for me), but you have my deepest sympathies. :-* :-* :-* Get well soon!

Oh I remember when I was on MTX having a bit more than I should on one occasion, and boy did I regret it.  But, hell we are only human, and it does absolutely suck this disease and the treatments for it suck too quite often.   Don't beat yourself up.   Put it down to experience and remember how you feel now so you won't be too tempted to overdo it again.

All the best.

First of all, well done for being well behaved for twelve months  ;)  You deserve a medal for that !!   ;D ;DI've done seven weeks without my nightly glass of vino .... (altho I did fall off the bandwagon once  - that's a secret  ;D).  As others have said, don't be too hard on yourself, we have to live ... we don't want to just exist and P impacts so negatively on our lives, anything that provides a little light relief, occasionally, should not be frowned upon.  Hope today you feel lots better and the sausage toe brothers are gone into hiding, never to reappear.

Hugs
BB

Hi, I was told that if I missed a day ( thursday is my d-day), I could only take that MTX on the next day ie Friday. Any other day was a no no as it could cause problems with the next dose, being too close. So rather skip a week if you cannot make the next day.
