Next phase

Hi all, hope Friday is a good (maybe relatively good) day for you.  :)
Well after stabilising on maximum dose Methotrxate injections I have taken my first dose of escalating Sulphasalizine ...... fingers crossed.
My other half being the ever optimist said, "you never know you might be like a spring chicken in a few weeks time." Wishful thinking on his part me thinks!
Have a great weekend  ;)

Good Luck Bevy - have to say my initial results with sulpha were very good but side effects got to much for me. Hope you have a better experience.

Hi Bevy,

Good luck. I've been on methotrexate and sulfasalazine for just over 6/12. The combo did definitely improve things and I didn't get any additional side effects from the sulfasalazine.

I went to see Tony Benn speak last night - the main focus of his talk was optimism. "Optimism is a friend, pessimism is an enemy"!

I shall keep my fingers (metaphorically) crossed for you.

I'm on the same combo (MTX tablets not injections) and hope you start to feel better. Different meds work for different people
